About

This blog is written by Joe Suttle, solely for the entertainment, education and general health of my family and friends. From time to time, you will see pictures of me, my family and friends, and places that I visit. Please be aware that I am a believer in Jesus Christ, and that politically, I am conservative and a strict-constructionist (read your American History). If this offends you, then perhaps you need to look elsewhere on the web.

This blog is on my web server, which runs on IBM’s Warp Server for e-Business or better known as OS/2. Most of the software that runs on this web server (warpedbox.com) is "Open Source". The web server itself is Apache, the most popular "other" webserver (and moving on Microsoft), the blog is now WordPress (formerly “Simple PHP Blog”), which are also open source. The language is PHP, which is an open source language.

You may have noticed that in most cases, comments are not allowed – that is to prevent robot-like computers from sending all kinds of responses to my posts. I figure that if you are moved enough to comment, you can click on the “Contact Me” link and send me an email.

ABOUT JOE

Born a long time ago in a faraway place, called Oklahoma. Old enough to remember the end of WW II, gas and tire rationing. Presently live in San Francisco Bay Area with my wife Karen and sons Nathaniel and Joshua. In addition to consulting on CallXpress voicemail, Mitel Phone Systems and general computer issues, my other interests are photography, music (piano and keyboard) and computer programming. Have used OS/2 (much better than Windows) for my webserver since ?? (date unknown, but a looong time).
We homeschool our boys, and are in a homeschool group that has “Class Day” on Mondays. I help out with the Yearbook class (computer problems and file transfers), teach Journalism and Digital Photography. Then on Thursday afternoons, I teach computer classes for Jr. and Sr. High Schoolers, and that has included Introduction to MS Office, Web Page Design and Introduction to Computer Programming.
